🚀 Avima Product Update – Security, Review Workflows & Boards 2.0

Over the past few months, the Avima team has delivered one of our most security-focused and workflow-driven product updates to date.

This release strengthens our position within compliance-heavy projects while continuing to evolve our review process and Boards experience.

Here’s what’s new 👇

🔐 Enforced BankID – Level of Assurance 3

Security and compliance remain a core priority for Avima.

We have now launched mandatory BankID authentication at workspace level, enabling customers to comply with Level of Assurance 3 (Digg Klass 3) requirements.

What this means:

  • Workspace admins can require BankID login for external users

  • Automatic onboarding flow for existing users

  • Secure invite flow for new users

  • Improved control over identity verification

This is a major milestone for Avima’s security positioning — particularly for public sector, infrastructure, and high-security projects.

🖼️ Smarter Review Workflows (“Bluebeam-light” direction)

We are continuing to improve the way teams review documents and manage follow-ups inside Avima.

New capabilities:

  • Attach images directly in comments (Ctrl + V or upload)

  • Create tasks directly from document comments

  • Structured connection between document reviews and Boards

This is the first step in building a more seamless review workflow inside Avima — reducing tool switching and keeping communication closer to the document context.

More iterations are coming.

📂 New Documents – Phase 2 Progress

As we prepare for onboarding more advanced administrator users to New Documents, we’ve introduced:

  • A new, simplified Folder Settings view

  • Access to Display Permissions (linked from New Documents)

  • Improved clarity and usability for folder and document management

Our goal remains clear:
👉 Make New Documents the natural default for all user types.

📋 Boards 2.0 – Foundation for the Next Phase

Boards continues to evolve as a powerful project collaboration tool inside Avima.

Recent updates:

  • Create a new board from a copy/template

  • Clearer permissions overview for Boards & Timeline

  • Custom Fields (first iteration – picklist support)

  • Subtle feature highlighting inside the UI (orange indicator)

This lays the groundwork for:

  • Stronger Q&A workflows

  • Better structured metadata

  • Future visual planning capabilities

Boards 2.0 is an ongoing strategic investment.

💰 Pricing & Packaging – Product Support

We have now fully integrated pricing package visibility into the product.

Workspace admins can see:

  • Active Price Package (Starter / Pro / Enterprise)

  • Number of assigned Avima Managers

This improves transparency and supports future customer migrations to the new packaging model.

🧹 Platform Simplification

As part of our focus strategy, we are also:

  • Phasing out legacy Public Web Publishing

  • Improving member filtering in large projects

  • Clarifying authentication & security settings in My Account

This helps us focus on our core ICP and long-term product direction.
