🚀 Product Update – June 2026
Over the last three months we've continued to improve Avima across Boards, New Documents, Security & User Management, and other core platform areas.
This release focuses on making everyday work more efficient, improving administration workflows, and supporting the upcoming Phase 2 rollout of the New Documents module.
📋 Boards
Better navigation and overview
Several improvements have been made to help users navigate and work more efficiently in Boards:
-
Browser tabs now show the current board or task name, making it easier to identify open tabs, bookmarks, and shared links.
-
Archive and Recycle Bin views have been aligned with the standard List View and now support search and filtering.
-
Pagination has been added to large boards to improve performance when working with many tasks.
Why it matters
These changes make it easier to find information, reduce clutter, and ensure good performance even on very large boards.
Improved exports and decision tracking
We've expanded the export capabilities in Boards:
-
Decision logs can now be exported directly from the Decision Log panel.
-
Board exports now include:
-
Archived tasks
-
Direct links to tasks and comments
-
Improved file naming
-
Task numbering to make audits and reconciliation easier
-
Why it matters
Many organizations use board exports for reporting, audits, and follow-up activities. These updates make exported information more useful and easier to work with outside Avima.
Archived and deleted tasks are now protected
Tasks moved to either the Archive or Recycle Bin are now read-only.
Users can still:
-
View task information
-
Copy links
-
Restore tasks (if permitted)
But they can no longer edit task content while the task is archived or deleted.
Why it matters
This ensures that active work only happens on active tasks while preserving historical information exactly as it looked when archived.
📁 New Documents
Folder colors and folder subscriptions
Folder management in New Documents has been expanded with:
-
Editable folder colors
-
Ability to subscribe or unsubscribe from folder updates directly from the folder panel
Why it matters
These were identified as important requirements ahead of the broader rollout of New Documents and help users organize and monitor document structures more effectively.
Improved visibility for isolated folders
Administrators can now more easily identify permission configurations that cause folders to appear under the Isolated Folders section.
A new indicator is shown in the permissions panel whenever a group lacks access to one or more parent folders.
Why it matters
This makes complex permission setups easier to understand and troubleshoot, reducing confusion for both administrators and end users.
Aliases can now be used as document templates
Document aliases are now available in the template selection dialog.
Why it matters
Organizations can maintain a template in a single location while reusing it across multiple template libraries, reducing administration and ensuring users always work from the latest version.
🔐 Security & User Management
Stronger account ownership and MFA security
Mobile phone numbers are now managed at the user account level rather than within individual workspaces.
Benefits
-
Users maintain ownership of their MFA settings
-
Administrators can no longer change another user's MFA phone number
-
Phone numbers are shared across all workspaces for the same account
This change is an important step in our ongoing security improvements.
Improved BankID invitation flow
Users invited to workspaces with mandatory BankID authentication no longer need to create a password during onboarding.
Why it matters
The invitation process now matches the actual authentication method used by the workspace, resulting in a simpler and more intuitive experience.
Faster user administration
Several improvements have been added to project administration:
Bulk invite users
Administrators can now paste multiple email addresses directly into the invite dialog.
Add users to multiple groups at once
The "Add to Group" selector now supports multi-select.
Easier permission management
The Group column in the Project Permissions page now remains visible while horizontally scrolling.
Why it matters
These improvements significantly reduce the time required to administer larger projects and user groups.
💬 Improvements Across Modules
Upload images directly to comments
Users can now attach images from their device directly when creating comments and replies. Previously, images could only be pasted from the clipboard.
Why it matters
This makes commenting more flexible and supports a wider range of user workflows across Avima.
Looking Ahead

Continued rollout of New Documents
-
Security and authentication improvements
-
Performance and usability enhancements across core modules
-
Ongoing investment in Boards and collaboration workflows
